Privacy Policy

PlasmaLedger is a public directory of plasma donation centers in the United States. This page explains what we collect, what we do not, and what choices you have.
The short version
You do not need an account to use PlasmaLedger. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or any health information. We do not sell data, we run no advertising, and we send no marketing email.
What we collect
How pages are used. We measure which pages people visit and how they move between them, using an analytics service. That includes an approximate location worked out from your internet connection, and general information about your device and browser. It is deliberately coarse: it tells us that a city page was popular, not who read it. No advertising or cross-site tracking features are switched on, and none of this runs on our staff area.
Standard request records. Like any website, ours records the usual technical details of each request so the site can be served and protected from abuse. These are short-lived operational records, not a profile of you.
Your location, only if you offer it. The search page has a button that asks your browser for your location. Nothing happens unless you tap it and agree. If you do, the coordinates are used once to sort centers by distance and then discarded. They are never saved and never shared. You can decline and search by city or ZIP code instead — the results are the same.
What you search for. Search terms are used to return your results. We do not keep them against you.
What we never collect
No visitor accounts. No passwords. No payment details. No email lists. No health or donation history.
We have no way of knowing whether you donated plasma, where you went, or what you were paid. Nothing you do here is reported to a donation center.
Cookies
We set one cookie, and only for our own staff: it keeps an editor signed in to the part of the site where content is managed. It is never set for ordinary visitors.
Your choice of light or dark appearance is remembered by your browser on your own device. It is not a cookie and never reaches us.
Our analytics service sets its own cookies to tell one visit from another. You can block them in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out extension.
Who else is involved
Running a website means a few specialist companies handle parts of it on our behalf: a hosting provider that serves the pages, an analytics provider that produces the usage figures, a mapping provider that supplies map imagery when a page shows a map, and a database provider that stores our directory content. They act on our instructions and none of them are permitted to use anything for their own purposes.
Where a page links out — to a center's own website, or to a mapping service for directions — that is an ordinary link. Once you follow it, that site's own privacy policy applies, not ours.
Your choices and rights
You can browse without granting location access, block analytics cookies, or use a browser that blocks trackers.
Because we hold no account for you and nothing you have given us, there is normally nothing personal for us to look up, correct or delete. If you think we hold something about you and want it dealt with, write to us and we will act on it.
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to it being processed — for example under the GDPR in Europe and the UK, or the CCPA in California. We do not sell personal information and never have.
Children
The site is for adults considering plasma donation, which in the United States requires you to be at least 18. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date shown on this page changes with it. Anything significant will be described here rather than altered quietly.
